Publication

Type - 3
8.5 x 11
70pgs

The Nuclear Edition evokes emotion and a feeling of horror by revealing the worst of what man made creations have done
to those they have impacted. Looking at three of the deadliest and most harmful nuclear disasters in human history, it leads the viewer through a deep dive
into what really happens behind the headlines, even decades later.

Intervention

Graphic Design - 45 x 7
3D Printed - Binders Board

Skin Savior is an intervention project centered around stopping skin picking, a
nervous habit that many people do unknowingly. Understanding that this is something that can last a lifetime, my response through this project was to create a campaign that called for action, inspired by the design of American wartime posters and historical wartime packaging.

Installation

Type - 320 x 10
Inkjet Paper Wheatpasted

$2.40 is an installation created as a response to the personal experience of being made fun of for not being able to afford a breakfast meal during my freshman year of college. The installation draws inspiration from the work of Jenny Holzer through its simple yet effective design and intentional placement. In this case, it was installed directly on the MBTA Longwood Medical Area stop sign, commenting on rising fare prices and accessibility.

Automecánica is a printed response to years of family history, months of research, and interviews centered around the question, “How does auto mechanic culture reveal and reshape generational understandings of masculinity?” By taking inspiration from 2000s car catalogs through its use of newsprint, the project creates a nostalgic feeling that reminisces on early introductions
to auto mechanics and the core
memories tied to them.

To Leave Everything is a zine that pushed me to reach out in a new way through cold interviews with the general public in search of answers to one question: “Would you leave your current life if
you could have your dream life?” Taking inspiration from How to Disappear Completely and Never be Found by Doug Richmond, I wanted to explore how far people’s desires would take them from those they love, if at all.

Are You Home? dives into the general question of what home means to someone. Is it a person, place, or hobby? Through responses to surveys, I explore the concept of turning charts and graphs into something more human. An emotional response to questions on a website never feels entirely genuine, and this project aimed to make those emotional responses feel more real rather than statistical.
